In the heart of a snowbound forest, young mage Anivras loses her way in a raging storm and stumbles upon a remote village shrouded in an ancient tradition. The villagers rely on a central solstice lantern, a magical flame said to hold back the Creeping Dark—a formless entity that preys on despair during the longest night of the year.

When the flame unexpectedly dies, the village is plunged into suffocating darkness. Anivras joins forces with Asezu, a determined apprentice burdened with the responsibility of relighting the lantern.
