It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these:) Looking back at my earlier posts- the last one I did was when I was rewriting (I never did finish:)  the Jedda books;)

So- what have I been up to and what am I currently writing?

REBEL MAGE is my current jam.

And by Jam, I mean trying to get unstuck::)

I was extremely lucky when Rogue Mage came together so smoothly. All of the parts began to flow and I was cranking out words faster than a toddler can destroy a room. Okay, to be fair, I don’t really know how long it would take a toddler to demolish a room. But I couldn’t think of anything pithy. So- that’s what you get:)

Anyway- I am currently staring at a lot of blank page. I’m trying to come up with a really good opening to Rebel Mage and decide where my characters are. How much time has passed since the end of Rogue Mage? I am currently leaning towards 3-4 weeks. That gives my two main characters time to settle into their new respective roles. That then left me with the consistency-question. How far along was the queen’s pregnancy? (oh no, panic, I can’t actually remember what was implied. Run back to notes and also ask my editor lol:). Okay- so, it appears that the queen will be about 7-8 months pregnant. That tracked pretty well with what I –think– I want to unfold in the opening chapters;)

So- what are Fern and Kadaris doing? Don’t ask me! I have no idea! Well, almost no idea:) Fern’s job is to protect the queen from close by. Kadaris is finally accepted as a student mage, so now she has to find her footing and figure out what her magical skills are— and who her rivals are.

Then– I have some big plot surprises to work with. But– I’m nowhere near there yet.. So I’ll save that for a later installment:)
