Anyway- My SIL is on her way over here from Maine. This will be her first birthdays (she, Rion and myself) all have birthdays in the same week. After many years of not being in touch etc, she has decided she wants to spend the week here. I know that the biggest factor is that I am the closest thing to my brother for her. I get that. And I know my brother is content, knowing I will do whatever I can to help her through a life transition I can’t even fathom.
End result– time to do all the house cleaning and projects that I talked about in the spring when she was here the last time yikes and lol:) Last time, I started painting a section of the upstairs, a soft silver-blue. There is an alcove area that just now got finished. To be fair, I would have done it when I did the other painting, but when I moved a hanging banner (a very pretty silk scarf kind of decoration)…I found a small hole in the wall. Okay, it was big enough that it shouldn’t have been ignored… and probably why the silk banner found “the perfect spot.” To be fair- that would have been the perfect spot anyway– but yes, the coordination is highly suspicious;) Anyway- i pulled out the Spackle when Carolyn first said she was heading this way. And then lost my mojo. Anyway– there’s nothing like.. “guests are arriving” to find that lose motivation:)
You can see the pic I took– it’s a close-up so you can’t actually see the clutter I haven’t dealt with yet.. but if you do look closely, you can see the replacement window that is still sitting there and the unfinished trim-work on the other window– getting the handyman to show up may rival social media success for the boss-level challenge:)
Anyway- if you do follow me on social media– go to the home pages and like-share some of the content. it doesn’t sound like much– but it tells our old buddy Algorithm that this is at least slightly interesting.
