Updated Cover for Winter Mage

Well, it took a good bit of finessing– and it’s not perfect. But- I think this is a better version of Kadaris than the earlier one. There are a lot of tiny things I wasn’t happy with about this version. I had several conversations about what to change etc. Ultimately, one of my advisors said- Readers will not notice the little things. The cover’s main job is to reflect the genre and to capture attention. NO ONE (other than cover artists) will pay much attention to things like the hand position that looks a little bit.. not quite right:) and despite my own misgivings– I had to concur that they were right…

ANYWAY- what do you think? Does this version have a better feel to it than the old one? Does it look like its intended for a more adult reader now?

I’m learning as the series goes, and so is the artist, I think:)

let me know in the comments:)

so- do you think readers notice the fact that her fingers aren’t tightly wrapped around the scepter? That’s the kind of “tiny thing” I am trying to stop worrying about:)

And thanks re the cover feedback! I think it’s a much stronger cover than the original. The artwork on the first one was good, but it wasn’t a good cover– which isn’t quite the same thing. And Kadaris looking twelve, was always an issue:) so yes– I am much happier with this cover:) I hope it helps new readers find the series:)

      you rock!
